At a time when everything seems to be a bit chaotic, the kung fu lifestyle can provide that foundation to help you get through the turbulence unscathed.
Let me elaborate.
I know more than a handful of people who’ve been adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the global reaction to that pandemic.
Many people let their health and fitness decline quite a bit, mainly through unwanted weight gain.
The kung fu lifestyle (or the study of any martial art for that matter) provides an avenue to reverse that decline.
In my view, training in kung fu involves far more than the study of an ancient martial art.
In general, kung fu refers to the Chinese martial arts. However, in China, kung fu can be interpreted to simply mean skill achieved through hard work.
I personally look at kung fu as a holistic approach to health and well being.
The techniques and forms I practice are but a small part of my overall approach to my health and well being.
But, everything that I practice and every bit of training I do helps to improve everything else I do.
For example, the strength training I do with barbells allows me to hit and kick harder.
At the same time, the stance work, and practice of my kicks and forms help to improve my balance as I try to lift heavier weight.
The flexibility training I do helps me improve my kicks and forms.
I also try to eat a better diet in order to be sure I am optimizing my fitness training.
Lastly, meditation helps me improve my focus and discipline to get through my workouts.
Most people who have an interest in improving their fitness will only focus on one or two areas, such as diet and strength training.
This can result in a lack of balance, where you might get big and strong, but you haven’t developed other areas of your health and fitness that can be beneficial in the long run.
The fact of the matter is that modern warriors train in all of the areas I mentioned above.
While the rest of us are not preparing to go to battle, jump into the octagon, or go on a secret mission behind enemy lines, life itself can throw us a few curveballs.
I developed Practical Kung Fu as a holistic approach to improving well-being while at the same time providing a means of skill development to help with self protection.
I’ve put a ton of content together in my Practical Kung Fu Gold Program, which covers all of these areas. You can learn more about it here… Gold Program.
